terms of use

1. who we are

on sabatical™ ("we," "us") is a wellness event series operated by Saba bokhari llc d/b/a on sabatical, based in bergen county, new jersey. these terms govern your use of this website and your attendance at our events. by purchasing a ticket, joining our mailing list, or attending an event, you agree to these terms.

2. tickets, transfers + refunds

tickets are non-refundable. they are transferable — if you can't attend, you may give or sell your seat to someone else at face value. email us at hello@onsabatical.com with your name and the new attendee's name and email 48 hours before the event so we can update check-in. the new attendee will be subject to these same terms, including the waiver before check-in.

if we cancel an event entirely and do not reschedule, you'll receive a full refund. if we reschedule (including for weather), your ticket transfers automatically to the new date; if you can't make the new date, you'll receive a credit toward a future edition.

3. weather + changes to events

some sessions and portions of events take place outdoors. we may modify, relocate, or reschedule an event due to weather, venue availability, instructor availability, or other circumstances. we'll notify you by email (and text, if provided) as early as possible. specific activations, instructors, and programming are subject to change; the event you attend may differ in details from the event as advertised.

4. health, movement + assumption of risk

our events include physical activity (such as mat pilates and other movement), and may include activities like cold exposure. participation in every activity is optional, and modifications are offered — but you know your body and your health status; we don't.

by attending, you confirm that you are in adequate physical condition to participate in the activities you choose, that you'll consult a physician before attending if you have any condition that could be affected by physical activity (including pregnancy or injury), and that you voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation. you will be asked to sign a liability waiver at check-in as a condition of participating. if you decline to sign, you may attend non-movement portions of the event at our discretion, but may not participate in physical activities.

5. alcohol + substances

all on sabatical™ events are alcohol-free. outside alcohol and controlled substances are not permitted. we reserve the right to refuse entry or remove anyone who appears impaired, without refund.

6. photography + media

our events are professionally photographed and filmed. by attending, you grant on sabatical™ the right to use photos and video taken at the event — which may include your image — for our marketing, website, social media, and partner recap materials, without compensation. if you prefer not to appear in photos, tell us at check-in and we will make reasonable efforts to keep you out of frame and exclude identifiable images of you from published materials.

7. conduct

we're building a warm, restorative room. we reserve the right to refuse entry or remove any attendee whose behavior is unsafe, harassing, or disruptive, without refund. treat the venue, the team, and your fellow attendees with care.

8. age

attendees must be 18 or older unless an event explicitly states otherwise.

9. personal property

you're responsible for your own belongings. we are not liable for lost, stolen, or damaged personal property at events.

10. partners + gifted products

events may include products, services, or activations provided by partner brands. these are provided by the partners, not by us; any claims, warranties, or issues related to partner products are between you and the relevant brand. gift bag contents vary and are not guaranteed.

11. the mailing list

by joining our list you agree to receive occasional emails from us about upcoming events and related updates. you can unsubscribe anytime via the link in any email. we don't sell your information. see our privacy policy for details.

12. website use + intellectual property

the on sabatical™ name, wordmark, monogram, photography, and site content are our property (or used with permission) and may not be reproduced for commercial purposes without written consent. you agree not to misuse this website, attempt to access it improperly, or scrape its content.

13. limitation of liability

to the fullest extent permitted by new jersey law, on sabatical™, its owner, employees, contractors, instructors, and venue partners are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your attendance or use of this site, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for your ticket.

14. changes to these terms

we may update these terms from time to time. the version posted at the time of your purchase governs that purchase. continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated terms.

15. governing law

these terms are governed by the laws of the state of new jersey. any disputes will be resolved in the courts of bergen county, new jersey.
